Installation notes

• If you are using XFRX with source codes, please note that four header (*.H) files have been added:
  • xfrx.h
  • reportlisteners.h
  • reportlisteners_locs.h
  • foxpro_reporting.h
• Before compiling XFRX, make sure you define the VFP version you are using in xfrx.h. (Please find more information about differences between XFRX for VFP 8 and XFRX for VFP 9 in the Developer's guide at http://www.eqeus.com/xfrxmanual.php).
• To reduce the download size, XFRX.APP is not part of the precompiled packages any more and we recommend that you add XFRX.FXP into your projects instead, which enables XFRX to access reports and other resouce files compiled into an exe file. If you prefer using XFRX.APP, please create a project with one file - XFRX.FXP - and build the APP.
• Please be aware that hndlib.dll and xfrxlib.fll have been modified
• In order to save reports as pictures or using the printing feature, XFRX requires two additional libraries to be installed:
  • msvcr71.dll - Microsoft Visual C++ 7.1 runtime library. If it is not installed on your pc, you can download it from http://www.eqeus.com/files/msvcr71.zip.
  • gdiplus.dll - This dll is included in WindowsXP and if it is not available on your pc, you can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/platformsdk/sdkupdate/psdkredist.htm.

If you are not planning to export reports as pictures or print, you can download a special version of XFRXLIB.FLL (http://www.eqeus.com/files/xfrxlib-nogdiplus.zip ), which doesn't require the two dlls mentioned above. This version is also available in the nogdip subdirectory of the evaluation or commercial package.

• XFRX is now able to print the generated reports. You can print the stored XFF files as well as print directly from the advanced previewer.The advanced previewer implements a simple printer selection dialog, with an option to select page ranges to print, which can be easily overwritten by a custom form. Please see the Developer's guide at http://www.eqeus.com/xfrxmanual.php for more information.
